Cleaning your tow ball prior to towing is good practise and will result in a better tow and aid in keeping your stabiliser pads cleaner for longer.

Mains Socket Tester
Checking the site’s mains supply is a prudent move. Incorrect polarity, earthing problems can be identified easily with the use of a mains socket tester. These handy devices simply plug into the socket and communicate the status of the mains supply by way of 3 lights. When all three lights light up, you are good to go. If all three lights don’t light up, it’s time to investigate!

Adjustable Wrench Set
Gas bottles and the leisure battery both require the use of a wrench. So don’t be caught out without a suitable one. Plenty of options on the market, nothing caravan specific here!

Keep your towbar electric socket in good shape with a good multiuse penetrant/lubricant spray. Helps displace moisture, protects against corrosion and contaminants. Useful on those adjustable wrenches as well!

Multimeter
Handy for checking the leisure battery voltage accurately and also checking fuses, if you suspect one has blown.
